Counter-Strike is a mod to the excellent game, Half-Life. In this mod, you can be a counter-terrorist and try to 'counter' the terrorists' missions by defusing bombs and preventing the assassination of VIPs, or preventing the terrorists from getting loose from a jailbreak. Or you can be a terrorist and prevent the counter-terrorists from rescuing your hostages for much needed money to buy more weapons. This mod features real-life government issue and terrorist weapons and a whole arsenal of other weapons, depending on your role. Counter-Strike has been rated by C|Net's Gamecenter.com as the top Half-Life mod of all time.

Counter-Strike is a modification to the Half-Life, so you need to have Half-Life installed before you can install and play Counter-Strike. You can also use the latest version "Counter-Strike Premium" which a stand-alone Counter-Strike

After you've installed the necessary updates, you're set to connect to our servers:

1. Connect to THE NET Service Provider.
2. Double-click on the 'Counterstrike 1.1' icon* on your desktop
3. In the Main Menu screen, click on 'Play CS'
4. If you haven't changed your nickname, click on 'Customize' and replace the default nickname to a nickname that you like. This nickname will be your identifier in the games.
5. Click on 'Done'.
6. Click on 'Internet Games'.
7. To add THE NET Counter-Strike game servers, click on 'Add Server' and type the following:
   cs.the.net.ph
   TIP: Manually-included servers are automatically added to your Favorites list. To access your Favorites list, click on 'Favorites' in the Internet Games menu and put an 'X' beside 'are in my Favorites list', then click on 'Done'. This is helpful if you have a long list of servers already in your main list, and are having a hard time looking for the servers that you manually added.
8. Highlight the server where you want to log on and click on 'Join Game'.
   If you don't have the Counter-Strike icon in your desktop:
   Run Half-Life
   In the Main Menu, click on 'Custom Game'
   In the Custom Game menu, Highlight Counter-Strike and click on 'Activate' and then 'Done' This will bring you to the Counter-Strike Main Menu screen.

NOTE : Currently running V1.1   You dont need to provide an original cd key anymore,  for your fulll pleasure.
